austin, revisited

I promised more images from austin, and then did not deliver, so today, I make right. We went to visit our friends Tim, Angela, and Josh for a weekend, and had an awesome time. It was incredibly hard to come back to Lubbock. I miss living in a place that is alive with people, and humidity, and weirdness.
We tried to go swimming at Barton springs, but after being there for less than 5 min, the lightning came down, and there would be no getting swimmin at this swimmin hole!

This is the guys, sulking in disbelief that there will be no swimming. Poor Kyle even has his sunscreen in hand ready for applying, so sad. And Angela and I enjoying watching all the folks getting out of the pool.



about 20 min after this pic was taken the sky opened up an it poured for about an hour. This image is of five adults (4 in the pic and me taking the pic) that decided it had been too long since we had played in the rain!
