summer longing

Nothing sends me faster into depression that knowing it's a beautiful, warm, sunny day, and I am stuck in a temperature controlled office, urg. I'm ready to retire. Thought that this was a good summer pic of my willing subject.

I have been trying to sharpen my photoShop skills. I wanted to see what i could do with an image that was exceptionally bad, (high contrast, loss of info, etc.) just to see what I could get out of it. So this is an example:
